solemates...chicago

sneaker collecting runs in my family. when i was younger my dad would save his boxes or line his sneakers up according to style. i also had a cousin that owned like 5 shoe stores and 2 factories. i just grew up around sneakers. my dad's favorite shoe was the air trainer 1. he had them in every colorway known to man...he gave me the original pair about 3 or 4 years ago and i tried to wear them. i wasn't lucky enough to break necks with them because they fell apart walking to the corner store. i told my dad that he should never wear them again and 3 years later he thinks he can still play tennis in them...here are the result (the other one is worse i didn't want fellow sneaker heads to cry).
