on saturday, september 1st, jerry azumah will host a private event, “the gift,” for his 30th birthday at vain nightclub and lounge at 2354 n. clybourne in chicago . as an alternative to accepting gifts for his milestone birthday, jerry is using this day to raise funds for his charity foundation. all proceeds from the event will go to ASAP (azumah student assistance program) and will benefit an underprivileged high school freshman attending a private institution. azumah says "if it wasn't for the generosity of someone else, i wouldn't have been afforded the education and opportunities that got me where i am. it's a no-brainer for me to give the same gift that changed my life."
